Case study / cloud data capture
01 / BioRegistra
Making data capture configurable.
A cloud-based data-capture platform—and a form builder designed so customers could shape capture flows around their own needs.
01
The contextOne platform. Many capture needs.
BioRegistra is a cloud-based data-capture management solution developed at SEAMFIX, a Nigerian company focused on identity-management products.
My work crossed the visible product and the services behind it: building and maintaining the web application, implementing back-end services, and helping the system operate as a set of microservices.
A configurable capture flow
Configure once.
Capture consistently.
02
My contributionWorking across the product, not just one layer.
- 01
Built, implemented, and maintained the web application and back-end services.
- 02
Designed and developed a form builder that let customers configure dynamic capture forms.
- 03
Worked across Angular, Spring Boot, and Java EE in a microservice architecture.
03
The key decisionTurn changing requirements into configuration.
The form builder was the most product-shaped part of the work. Instead of treating each capture form as a separate implementation, it gave customers a way to configure dynamic forms using reusable field types.
“The useful abstraction wasn’t one perfect form. It was a way to create the next form.”
What stayed with me
Configuration can be product leverage.
BioRegistra reinforced an idea I still carry into product work: when many customers share a pattern but differ in the details, the right configurable system can absorb that variation without making every new need a new product.
