Case study / time & attendance
02 / iClocker
Trusting who, where, and when.
A time-and-attendance product using facial recognition and geofencing to confirm identity and location at the moment of a clock-in.
01
The contextAttendance is only useful when the signal is trustworthy.
iClocker is a time-and-attendance solution developed at SEAMFIX. It combines geofencing and facial recognition to help confirm that people are who and where they say they are when they clock in.
I worked across the web application and back-end services, while taking on increased responsibility that included leading the team working on the product.
Three signals. One attendance event.
Verified enough
to act on.

My contributionBuilding the product—and the habits around it.
- 01
Led the project team as my responsibility on the product grew.
- 02
Built and maintained the Angular web application and Java EE/Spring Boot back-end services.
- 03
Kept the CI/CD pipeline functional, reducing the effort required to push code to staging and production.
- 04
Strengthened quality through monitoring, unit and integration tests, technical documentation, and clearer requirement analysis.
03
The operating shiftMove from reactive fixes to visible systems.
We introduced a more proactive way of solving problems by monitoring system trends and addressing issues customers faced before they were escalated. CI/CD, automated tests, and documentation supported that same goal: make delivery more dependable and problems easier to see.
“Reliability is not one feature. It is a way of operating.”
What stayed with me
Technical leadership is a system, too.
iClocker expanded my idea of engineering ownership. The code mattered, but so did the pipeline, tests, monitoring, documentation, requirements, and the team’s ability to respond when the business changed.
